This line by Pentax has a decent set of SLR cameras. Each model has something special to offer and both fair well when compared to other dSLR models. The models are as follows, starting with the newest: D (interchangeable lenses).
* The dSLRs by Pentax are nice and solid cameras, despite the fact that they are built with plastic. The plastic construction makes them compact and lightweight.
* All the models offer a mediocre 6MP resolution considering that they are dSLR cameras.
* The 2 and 2.5 inch LCDs are good quality. Plus there is a viewfinder and a status LCD on top.
* Lots of manual controls available, as is expected on a dSLR, including ISO settings, white balance control, shutter and aperture priority, consecutive burst shooting at 2.8 fps, bracketing, etc.
* They all have very simple interfaces and most of the navigation is done via the menu.
* Also include some automatic functions such as scene shooting modes and a pop-up flash.
* Easy printing with PictBridge and a USB port for easy transfer of images to a PC.
