'''The Star Wars Trilogy''' - Ford is most famous for his role as Han Solo, a space pilot, smuggler, and the owner of the Millennium Falcon in the original Star Wars Trilogy. His sarcastic wit, obsessive practicality, and occasional sentimentality all make Ford's creation of this charming character impossibly attractive and also contribute powerfully to the overall dynamic of the epically successful series. If you haven't seen the Star Wars Triology yet, I'm not quite sure what you've been doing all this time. So crawl out from under your rock and watch these brilliant movies, if not for the movies themselves, then for Ford's wonderfully clever performance.

Although the last film in the series (''Kingdom of the Crystal Skull'') left many fans disappointed, Ford's other Indiana Jones films (''Raiders of the Lost Ark'', ''Temple of Doom'', and ''The Last Crusade'') were so successful that the character of Indiana Jones was ranked as the second greatest movie hero of all time by the American Film Institute. ''' Witness''' - Although this 1985 thriller didn't lend itself to the same popularity and fame that the Indiana Jones and Star Wars series did, this 1985 thriller is considered to be one of Ford's strongest acting moments. He was recognized at the Academy Awards, the BAFTA Awards and the Golden Globe Awards for his portrayal of an intense detective, Captain John Book, determined to find the killer of an undercover narcotics agent. The only witness is an eight year old Amish boy with whom Ford's character develops a touching relationship during the film. An interesting film and impressive performance from Ford, this is also a movie that shouldn't be missed.
'''The Fugitive''' Ford plays Dr. Richard Kimble, a successful surgeon in Chicago who comes home one night to find his wife fatally wounded by a one armed man who escapes. Dr. Kimble is arrested and convicted for his wife's murder. The film tells the thrilling story of his escape from jail and, like almost all of Ford's other films, is too exciting to pass up.
'''Blade Runner''' - In this 1982 science fiction cult classic, Ford plays a retired Los Angeles city cop, Rick Deckard, who agrees to track down several biologically engineered humanoids who have come to Earth illegally. Although the film itself polarized critics, most enjoyed Ford's performance and (regardless of some critic complaints) many fans adored it. This is one of Ford's most complex characters, and is a performance that Ford himself is incredibly proud of.
